My 11 am appointment (interview) did not happen, so Marley and I were off for a little more site seeing today.
Our first stop was the Katy Trail along the Missouri River. It was bitterly cold but we managed to walk a little bit and check out the scenery. We couldn't stay long since my fingers were frozen even with gloves on.

We tried to make our way down to the bank but it was a little bit rocky and we both did not want to fall into the icy water.

After the short jaunt, we jumped in the car and headed East. It was a beautiful drive, and it was good to see some open farm land along the way. The road circled around and we ended up heading west.
I stumbled upon a place called Faust Park and there was a butterfly exhibit, a carousel and a small village of old homes.

It was a beautiful afternoon with plenty of sunshine, so we spent the rest of the afternoon walking the neighborhood. Marley hunting squirrels and me contemplating life and my journey. It really is a good idea to just wander around and get a little perspective on what's important.
