Midwest Arctic Blast 2015

Thursday Feb. 19th, 2015
When I first got to Missouri , the first thing I did was get an oil change at a reputable company and made sure the Arizona SUV was ready for the cold temperatures.  I was assured that all the fluids were checked, oil changed and everything was good to go.

Needless to say, it was not so.

The first wave of cold air over the weekend caused some damage to the SUV with some liquids freezing and possible busted lines.  The extent of the damage is unknown and will have to wait until a good mechanic can determine the extent.

15 degrees and dropping.
I knew Black Beauty would not survive the next impending arctic blast which would be the worst yet, and the SUV was still running so we escaped to the Oklahoma where the temperatures would not be as bad as Missouri.  The trusty SUV was a little worse for wear, but we got where we needed to be.
Oklahoma sunset.....Ugh, look at that dirty wind shield.
Wiper fluid was one of the casualties.
All is well, and a good mechanic will fix the up the SUV for more adventures.
