I took this photo the other evening, the same time I was chasing that silly vermillion fly catcher. This lovely bird, landed right next to Elvis and I as we walked through the weeds, sand and mesquite trees. I was able to snap a few photos with one hand, since my left hand was hanging on to Elvis' leash. He was struggling in the weeds so we were stumbling and bumbling along.
I really love this photo, it's a little out of focus, but I love how beautiful she looks. She may be a he, but I don't care, I think she is lovely. :)
