A great place to walk the dogs off leash is in the wash. It's like a giant kitty litter box, and it even comes with a bobcat every now and then.

The walls of the wash are high enough that the dogs won't go up and the underbrush was too thick for wandering. Elvis stuck close by me, but Skeeter really loved running in the sand.
A great way for a puppy to burn off energy.
